Well I finally finished it, this is the new Wales – Seascapes and Water 2011 video, taken me a while to get right as it’s always a little more fiddly when you have lyrics with music.
The music is courtesy of the fabulous Pendragon (special thanks to Rachel) with the wonderful tones of both voice and guitar of Nick Barrett, I am so very grateful for this, the track is so very special to Jo and myself and brings back so many many happy memories of times and places in Wales with Timba the Timberwolf/Husky cross who gave us nearly 15 years of happiness.
I was fortunate enough to be photographer for The Classic Rock Society on Pendragon’s final show of their European Tour promoting the amazing new album “Passion”, without doubt the best show and sound quality of any band I have seen, one of the most polished performance bands in the business and a must to see if you love Prog Rock at it’s very best.
I am currently changing part of my permanent exhibition at Barnsley Central Library and the 1st floor shots will be swapped for new seascapes while the downstairs main exhibition will remain Peak District. I will also be starting to compile the book “One Tog and His Dog” video to accompany the book as well. I’m determined to knock out at least 3 pages a week, it’s so easy to get writers block, the images flow but transferring the visual emotion into words is quite difficult without going in too deep, perhaps I need a ghost writer. I also need a poet if there are any out there for a project?

Fantastic mate, the music really adds to it too.
Absolutely brilliant – pics, places, music. West Sheffielder, virtually brought up in Peak District, in a big emotional situation at present, found that very uplifting, as opposed to imagery on TV (not that it is in anyway unpredictable).

I’ve had it bookmarked for a while but finally got around to watching it this afternoon. Absolutely fantastic. I can’t believe how prolific you are. Obviously you put a huge amount of effort and passion into your landscape photography. Undoubtedly it’s paying off. I’m totally inspired … but maybe I’ll wait until it stops raining 🙂

I just love the sea and been near or in it…how bad do you think I feel living in a landlocked town! I need to be there once a month to get my fill
and as for the rain its still amazes me and I love to hold my head high and let it wet my face…. yeah yeah I know the wife thinks I’m nuts too

I’m in the process of going back to a fulltime IT role 🙁 (next month sometime). I’ll be sad to give up on the photography work for now but needs must. I’ll be reinventing my online presence soon to reflect this, that’s if I can get my head around WordPress themes. Photocrati might be the way to go but I’m too mean to pay for it. Have a good weekend … it sounds like it might be brightening up a bit.
A sad day indeed but so many togs are having to supplement their income….a lot is due to all the unqualified and uninsured weekend warriors nabbing all the work and companies are scared to spend money like they used to….keep your fingers in Rob and if you need any help with the site let me know.
