Was a great weekend wasn’t it?, thundery rain at night but beautiful sunshine in the day, perfect combination….
Managed a lovely walk with Jo and Stormy yesterday at Scout Dike Reservoir, they have recently re done the footpath and made it a lot more accessible to the public. We went slightly off the beaten track and came across this lovely scene with the sun bursting through the old trees and bathing the patches of bluebells in misty light…….ok so I tricked it slightly yes old faithfuls are used here, my heliopan polariser on full tilt for the colour and my star filter for the rays but ssshhhh dont tell anyone…another to follow later
Oh and Stormy managed to find the most decayed trout cast aside by a fisherman, we had to baby wipe her face and mouth, she stank!
have a great day, back in The Peaks tomorrow

I guess the trick is reality isn’t it? I mean the rays were there anyway I just made them more visible, does that make sense?

A very inspiring image for a grey Monday morning here in Catalonia. Is Scout Dike near to where you live?
I can empathise with you and the decayed fish incident. My dog rolls in anything that is dead and decaying, even the most miniscule of earthworms. Fortunately he spends most of his time in the garden.
Have a good week

inspiring indeed, its beautiful here at the moment, lovely “The Simpson” sky as I call it…but very warm…nice change, off with Stormy for a few miles walk in a mo, just having my tin of pineapples…..darn this diet
Yes its near to me here, some lovely walks with plenty of water for Stormy
have a great day Alison

My favourite of yours with the star filter so far. Which filter is it exactly? I could be tempted to get one.
if you do a search for star filters, Lee you’ll find the pack 3 in all, quite hard work I used a polariser as well and a boat load of crap shots
