Edale Lone Tree

Edale Lone Tree

Ok I know there is more than one tree there, I’m referring to the ridge tree of course. Summer is on its way now and colour certainly is returning to the Peaks, love the purple bushy heather thingy….you can tell I’m a gardener can’t you?.

Right in the foreground you can just make out the river flowing down from kinder with it’s waterfalls and boulders.

Sun shining and I’m stuck in waiting for deliveries, hopefully they will come this morning then we can get out and about

have a great Wednesday

What’s creating the shadow in the foreground ? Is it one of those lone clouds that blow over and you can see its shadow travelling across the landscape?
Had the most amazing storm yesterday…got soaked 🙁

No, no pictures. I was huddled up in doorway in the middle of town with a river gushing down the main road and a brolly protecting my feet from drivers who thought it would be fun to dry through the floods as fast possible and soak the poor folks sheltering in doorways (whinge whinge). The weather is a bit weird here at the moment…there was the most eerie ‘mackerel sky’ the other day. I took a photo but it didn’t turn out too well.

Hi mate, nice one. The pink heather really drew my eye, as though the clouds parted just to light it up. I had to look for the other tree, but it don’t spoil it cos it blends in. Trouble with shade when I take a shot, it seems the viewer skips the shade and focuses on the brightest part of the shot. Your shade does show interest, so thats a good thing. You know what I mean…
