Back Tor

Back Tor Ridge Walk

What a foggy start to Tuesday, hope it improves as me and Stormy are off to Froggatt Edge later to meet up with Steve to do some scouting for a location for sunset/sunrise shots for the training school, hopefully we’ll rise above the cloud, could be cool…

Back Tor shot is from the Ridge Walk we did on Saturday, walking from Mam Tor Hill Fort towards Loose Hill you are confronted with this formidable Hill with steep crumbling rock sides and a solitary  tree near its pinnacle. This is the place where I took Stormy’s Storm shot that was posted yesterday. If you view large you can see a couple just to the left of the tree having a well earned break with a drink and sandwiches. their tiny figures  give you some scale of the hill.

Hi mate, just got round to viewing. Took some finding the folk chomping on their prawn sarnies. Does give the idea of scale mind. And who was the smart alec who planted the lonesome tree ?
